Ciudad Chihuahua to Cuauhtemoc - Page 4

The desert slowly gives way to the presence of water in the many streams along the route.

The train moves along at about 45 mph, which is a great speed for taking photographs.  As it rumbles into the foothills of the Sierra Madres, one is struck by the sudden presence of water.

I could not help but wonder what was in store later if this part of the journey offered what was considered the lessor scenery.

The scenery has been enjoyable up until now, but as one looks ahead at the mountain range lying in front of the train there is a growing sense that the best is yet to come, a perception which slowly becomes a certainty.
