Cuauhtemoc to Divisadero - Page 4

As the train approaches Cuauhtemoc, one begins to realize the fun is just beginning.

Our head conductor for the day was Carlos Camacho, who spoke perfect English and was eager to answer any questions anyone put to him with the same good cheer pictured here.  He told me the train staff worked schedules of one day on, followed by two days of rest.  (Each work shift is between 17-20 hours.)

A modern Mexican city, Cuauhtemoc is really the entrance to the Sierra Madres and the last city of any size you will find until you get to the end of the line at Los Mochis.

This little mission was of great interest to Brian.  After getting his shot, he let me quickly slide into the window and get this one just after the train had passed it.
