Cuauhtemoc to Divisadero - Page 8

As the train approaches Cuauhtemoc, one begins to realize the fun is just beginning.

At your stop at El Divisadero you are going to have a very hard time deciding what to do in 15-20 minutes.  As you can see here there are dozens of craft stands on the walkway leading down to the canyon.  The enticing smell of hot food fills the air as well, and at this point the idea of a hot burrito sounded pretty good.

A modern Mexican city, Cuauhtemoc is really the entrance to the Sierra Madres and the last city of any size you will find until you get to the end of the line at Los Mochis.

But not before getting some good shots of the Barranca del Cobre (Copper Canyon).  I have read the drop here is 7,000 feet in some articles; other articles claim the drop is 9,000.  If you don't mind the delay to download, the larger images of the stop at Divisadero are well worth the wait.
