When the brochures state the the Copper Canyon train ride is a step back into time, it's really true.  Many of the people in this region of the world rely on horses as their primary means of transportation.

Some of these cactus plants grow to heights 20' feet or so, and, at places on the route, they are everywhere you look.  I believe some of them were even taller but don't wish to exagerate.
