Urique

You reach Urique by first travelling to Cerocahui and them boarding a bus, a trip, which, by all accounts, is well worth making if you have three or four days just to explore the canyons.  All accounts of both the drive to Cerocahui and the drive to Urique describe it as a trecherous one on two lane roads which make winding descents into the canyons with vehicles passing so close their rear view mirrors almost touch, so I expect it is not a journey for less than the determined soft adventurer.  There is not much on the internet about local attractions, and the hotels in Urique have been described as "basic" or even "spartan".  I suspect it's the fantastic scenery and camping opportunities which draw people to the area.
