Sure enough, it was quite a drive to the beach. I researched it later and discovered Jesus had told me the truth, it was almost 40 miles round trip. Then there would be the time he would spend showing me around Topolobampo, then the trip to Walmart, then the wait while I did my shopping. By the time we arrived at the beach, I had made up my mind to give him $25. Fair is only fair.
It being December, the beach was a little less than spectacular, but I'm sure in summer it's a great place to be. A couple and their two small children were feeding the sea gulls when we pulled up. |
